 My Thoughts

I have heard of Rebecca St James and King + Country before but didn't know they were out of the same family.  Even if you don't like gospel music this is a great family movie. I loved this movie. The strength of the mother and how the family all worked together and is still working together is wonderful to see. I loved how much the mom supported her husband and the children at the same time. Also it was nice to see Jonathan Jackson in the movie although I didn't recognized him until I saw his name in the credits, I will forever remember him as Lucky Spence on General Hospital back in the day.

My Thoughts

I have often wondered about the Seventh-day Adventist Church. I once went to a health event they sponsored. I really enjoyed learning more about what the Seventh-day Adventist Church believes and how they came into being. I felt like I came away from the movie with more questions than answers. I am not sure how it got from the man predicting the return of Christ to being a whole different kind of movement. You will have to let me know what your thoughts are after you watch the movie.  I can't imagine life without drinking tea :).  I want to learn more about the Adventist movement though so I believe I will keep reading and researching.

 My Thoughts:

This was a hard movie for me to watch. I didn't realize it was a musical. There are about 2 musicals I even like to watch so its not a favorite genre.  I did love the message though and it was certainly a great time to release the movie with Easter upcoming. I can't say I have ever heard the Easter story told as a musical not even at church plays etc. I don't know if the songs were wrote for the movie or not because I hadn't ever heard a single one of them. It was one of the better ways of seeing the Easter story play out, it is hard to tell the story without being graphic and scaring younger viewers but this movie managed to be very family friendly. I like how they emphasize the need to be more family oriented. Time is precious and you need to spend as much of your time doing things that matter. I am glad I watched it.

My Thoughts:

I am so excited to share this movie with you. The story of Abraham and Issac is one of my favorites. There is a gospel song about this story line that has been a favorite for many years. This movie puts images to the Bible story so you can envision Abraham and his journey. Sometimes the people around Abraham made me so mad with their responses, of course at times I was left disappointed in Abraham also. But we are all broken people striving to do our best and we often falter. It is easy in hindsight to know the right choices to make and the right things to say and do.  I encourage you to take your family to see this family friendly movie. This would be a great opportunity for a church youth outing to go watch this movie.

My Thoughts
I have been reading so much lately on journaling and reading the Bible. I really love the way this Bible is set up so that I can journal right beside the verses. The pages are just so beautiful that they really classify as artwork. I have pinned a ton of pages about Bible journaling so I can't wait to get started on my copy of this book, except that its just so gorgeous that I hate to mark it up with my writing. This would make an excellent gift and it comes in a lovely hardcase that matches the Bible.

My Thoughts:
This world is so hard and seems to get harder with each day. This world sometimes feels like its over run with hate but there is One who always loves us even when we are acting unlovable.  This devotional helps you spend some times with and thinking about the One who loves you always. I liked that the headings are shown as Day 1, Day 2 and so forth, instead of January 1, January 2 and so on. I have a hard time keeping up with daily stuff and then it seems pointless to even try when I am months behind. With these headings, you just go on to the next day without any pressure of feeling like you are behind.  This devotional would be a perfect gift to give a young girl or woman to help her focus and learn to deal with life's issues. I would personally give this along with a beautiful pen for the journaling pages. This is a perfect gift for Christmas, birthday, graduation, etc..

One of the leading artists on the contemporary Christian scene, Jeremy Camp has gained a sizable fan following for his passionate, well-crafted rock songs and heartfelt testimonies of faith in spite of life's obstacles. Camp was born on January 12, 1978, in Lafayette, Indiana, where his father was the pastor of the town's Harvest Chapel church and taught his son to play guitar. After completing high school, Camp attended bible college in Southern California and developed a keen interest in music, influenced by the likes of U2, Delirious?, and Jars of Clay. When one of the worship leaders at the school heard Camp playing with some friends at his dormitory, he urged him to become involved with their music ministry program, and soon he was performing at Christian music events all over California, recording a self-released disc called Burden Me in 2000.

My Review:
Jeremy Camp is one of my favorite Christian artist so I was really pleased when I was offered an opportunity to review his latest CD. I think my favorite song on this CD is My Defender.  My second favorite is Awake O Sleeper.  Jeremy's songs always speak to my heart and help remind me that God is always there for me and how much He loves me.  I love the mix of slow soulful songs and fast paced ones.  My daughter was walking by as I was listening to his CD and her comment was what a beautiful voice he has. Jeremy has been through life's sufferings and his voice reflects his passion as a follower of Christ. "If my heart's not breaking for the lost, I won't come across the way I need to," Jeremy says on his official website.
