New Movie- Sound of Freedom

Made by #AngelStudios, the same studio that brought you "His Only Son" & "The Chosen."

About SOUND OF FREEDOM

Sound of Freedom, based on the incredible true story, shines a light on even the darkest of places. After rescuing a young boy from ruthless child traffickers, a federal agent learns the boy’s sister is still captive and decides to embark on a dangerous mission to save her. With time running out, he quits his job and journeys deep into the Colombian jungle, putting his life on the line to free her from a fate worse than death.

Watch the trailer below

Even though my daughter is grown now I still worry about her when she goes places. So few of us are aware of just exactly how prevalent this is.  We have to teach our children to be aware without terrorizing them. Occasionaly we hear one or two stories a year on the news but this is a very far reaching issue both in America and around the world. This movie is coming out on 4th of July weekend which is the perfect time to emphasize freedom.

Angel Studios has a mission to pre-sell 2 million tickets (before opening weekend) to represent & raise awareness for the 2 million precious children who are being trafficked every year. We must act, and this is a powerful and beautiful way to spread knowledge and enact change.

Patterns of of Evidence: EXODUS Review and Giveaway

What is the validity of history found in the Bible? Is it fact or fiction? What does the hard evidence really have to say about the foundational story of the Old Testament: the Exodus out of Egypt? An in-depth investigation by documentary filmmaker Timothy Mahoney searches for answers to these questions amid startling new finds that may change traditional views of history and the Bible.

About Patterns of Evidence Exodus:
For more than 50 years, the vast majority of the world's most prominent archaeologists and historians have proclaimed that there is no hard evidence to support the Exodus story found in the Bible. In fact, they say that the archaeological record is completely opposed to the Bible's account. This view of extreme skepticism has spread from academia to the world. The case against the Exodus appears to be so strong that even some religious leaders are labeling this ancient account as historical fiction.

Filmmaker Timothy Mahoney begins with the questions, "Is the Bible just a myth, or did the archaeologists get it wrong?" He decides to tackle this issue wit a deliberate scientific approach. After examining the details in the biblical text, he journeys across the globe to search for patterns of evidence firsthand. The result is the most in-depth archaeological investigation into the Exodus from Egypt ever captured on film. This scientific documentary's goal is to communicate the TRUTH of the Bible and help equip believers with defending their faith and the Bible.

The DVD features stunning animations and a cast including narrator, Kevin Sorbo (God's Not Dead, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys), interviews with leading archaeologists including Israel Finkelstein, Kent Weeks, and David Rohl, and guest appearances by Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu and Shimon Peres.

My Thoughts

I love how convenient it is to find a new movie for the whole family to watch. I can find cartoons for the grandchildren and don't have to worry about what values they are learning from it. I have seen cartoons that I considered pure trash being viewed by children and then people wonder why kids do the things they do.

Grace Of God DVD Review and Giveaway

About this item

Having lost his faith many years ago, Detective Bill Broadly is called to investigate the disappearance of the local church's collection plate. As he questions its various church members, rumors swirl as more congregants learn about the theft. When one unexpected church-goer confesses to stealing the funds, the confession resurrects Broadly's views on God, and helps him see that through faith and belief there really is rebirth and redemption.

My Thoughts
I like Christian based movies. It was nice seeing Lorenzo Lamas again and Erin Bethea too. It took me a minute because she looks different but her voice is completely the same. There are some pretty funny lines in the movie but honestly I did not like the movie. I love people being redeemed but that just really didn't seem to happen here. Nothing was resolved to my satisfaction in this movie but I seem to be in the minority on that opinion. I would not have been tempted to be a Christian if the person who kept witnessing to me turned out to be wrong and never showed real repentance. Plus I felt there should have been consequences for behaviors. But it got 5 Doves from the Dove foundation so like I said I am in the minority.
