My Review

I was so excited when I got chosen to review these Core Fitness Zone Resistance Bands. The past 2 years I have had some major health issues that just have gotten progressively worse. I went to physical therapy and got part of them fixed but now I have rebuild my strength and energy back up. I have been working with these bands daily and am slowly working my way up. I love that they have progressive bands so as I get better I can move to the next band. You can use more than one band together up to 105 lbs. These bands are very well made with solid attachments. I have tried resistance bands before but they were more like latex ribbons, not nearly as sturdy. 

So if you are wanting to get healthy, build muscles, or just get in shape, then I highly encourage you to buy a set of your own.

Making Lasagna with #Ragu4You

I recently got a #ComfortVox box in the mail from Influenster.com. It was full of awesome free samples and coupons. One of those coupons was a for a free jar of Ragu. Today I am going to share my recipe for lasagna that we made with Ragu. I made 2 pans full of lasagna, one for us and one for my neighbor. She recently had a baby and that makes her #5 so I thought I would help her make dinner one night for the family.

I grew up with my grandmother and everyone I knew using Ragu. It was years before I knew it wasn't the only pasta sauce out there (lol), When I got married I continued to use Ragu. Then I stopped making pasta for a long time because my ex hated any form of pasta and it just was a big hassle to deal with making something he hated. When we separated I think I made lasagna 3 times a week for 6 months :).

I am sure everyone knows how to make lasagna but here is my quick and simple recipe. Warning, it is very cheesy so if you aren't a cheese fan you will have to make changes.

1 box of lasagna noodles. (it usually takes around 9 long noodles for each pan) I used oven ready
16 oz of cottage cheese ( we only like Kroger brand for some reason)
8 oz of finely shredded mozzarella cheese

sauce
1 jar of your favorite flavor Ragu
14 oz can of petite diced cut tomatoes
1/2 lb of hamburger meat

Sauce
I brown the hamburger and drain the grease off of it. Then I add a jar of Ragu and a can of petite cut diced tomatoes. (everyone always things I have made from scratch my sauce because of the added tomatoes) Let it cook for about 15 minutes to get all the flavors mixed.

I always mix my cheeses, so in a medium bowl combine the cottage cheese and the mozzarella cheese.  Even though my noodles were oven ready I like to give them a quick dip in bowling water just to soften them. I get the water boiling, dip the noodles for about a minute or so then put in the pan.
I put a layer of sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 baking pan. I never measure but its probably about a cup of sauce then I add 3 noodles side by side, Layer 1/2 the cheese mix on top of the noodles,  Put a layer of sauce, Top that with 3 more noodles, then put the rest of the cheese for another layer of cheese and then 3 more noodles. Then I put another cup or some of sauce on the top. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. About 10 minutes before its done I like to sprinkle a handful of mozzarella cheese over top the sauce to brown.  When you first take it out of the oven it will be very runny because of the melted cheese. We let it sit about 20 minutes before cutting to keep it from being so runny.

This was so good, that we almost licked the pan. Apparently it has been too long since I made lasagna because usually we have leftovers to eat the next day but we ate the whole pan in one evening.  I also make stuffed shells just the same way only instead of layering the noodles, I stuff the shells with the cheese mix and put sauce of them. My daughter thinks it taste better as stuffed shells. I tell her its exactly the same but she still swears by stuffed noodles. My Thoughts
I love the idea of shatterproof glasses. A number of years back I damaged a nerve in my arm and it caused my hand to go numb. My Thoughts
Everyone has been talking about these sponges so I really wanted to try one but when I got the sponge, I was afraid to use it at first. When the sponge is dry, it is very hard almost like a rock so I thought it would be too rough on my skin. My Thoughts
When I first saw this bear, I knew I wanted her because she is so cute. I hadn't heard of the Tillie duck friends before because we don't watch Baby First TV. When my 18 month granddaughter saw Bonnie, she had to have her. The bear is well made with tight stitching stitching so I didn't have to worry about the stuffing coming out and the eyes aren't a bit loose. The bear is super soft and feels so plushy. The 3 year old wanted her also but I gave her something else to play with :). I think the apron she is wearing is just adorable and the flower on the head is too cute. My granddaughter has been toting her everywhere with her and sleeping with Bonnie and the bear is still holding up. Bonnie can even stand up on her own if you stand her up.

My Thoughts
I have a slight hearing loss and have trouble distinguishing between sounds mostly so I often have the sound up louder than others like. I was given an opportunity to try out these headphones and boy were they great. The sound quality is so much higher than I have gotten with other headphones even ones that cost more than these. I also loved that you get a variety of tip sizes since all ears aren't the same.  One of the biggest problems I have had in the past when I tried headphones was getting the cable tangled up but the tangle free cord really did what it said and I didn't have to keep freeing up the cord.  I think these are an awesome deal at this price and to get such quality.

My Thoughts
Our dogs are spoiled rotten, I won't lie. My Thoughts
When I was a little girl my hair would knot up just sitting there and then one day it stopped and it seemed like my hair wouldn't tangle at all. Then suddenly again in the past year that stopped and my hair has changed back to the same old tangle ridden hair. My Thoughts

I have had a couple of flimsy peelers over the years but they just didn't work well. They didn't remove the skin easily and they sometimes would break on me. I have had so much fun with this peeler. I have always used a knife for peeling and it just didn't work that well for me.  I am one of those ppl who basically used to peel have the potato away trying to get the skin off. With the Julienne peeler its like suddenly I have twice as much potato. This peeler is ultra sharp so please make sure the kids don't play with it. I also liked that you can use the peeler as a cheese slicer. I know that somewhere I had a cheese slicer but I haven't been able to find it for ages so this was a nice bonus for me.  I find I can more easily get my family to eat their veggies now that I have been julienne them. I think one because they like playing with the shape of the veggies and also because it seems like less going in their mouths instead of giant chunks of carrots etc..

My Thoughts

As a grandparent and a pet owner, I know that a mattress protector is a wonderful thing. My Thoughts
Have you ever tried to move and couldn't find any way to get your truck closed. I remember having to move stuff many times in my car and the truck wouldn't shut so I would have to use string etc to tie it semi closed. These bungee cords would have been so awesome than.  Now that I have my mini van I still move a lot of stuff but it fits better. My Thoughts
Tea tree oil isn't one of the most pleasant smelling oils but it is a wonder oil for sure. I love it and like to add a bit of it to about everything I mix up for its healing properties. My Thoughts
I have never owned a salt or pepper grinder in my life. I have bought those sea salts that come in a plastic grinder that cost an arm and a leg. Plus it is so hard to grind the salt properly.  You can really taste a difference in the pepper and even in the salt when it is freshly ground. I am going to put pink  Himalayan salt in mine when I replace it. I really liked that you can adjust the fineness of the grinder. I like having more a chunkier look to the spices when I am grilling steak but I don't want big chunks of salt and pepper on my eggs in the morning. I like that the grinder is stainless steel. To me, stainless steel is just a classier look and lasts longer. Its also nice that I can switch out the spices if I want to. I like changing things up sometimes. And since the grinder is a 2 in one, then no more looking for the missing salt or pepper shaker. Just one grinder to set out.

My Thoughts
This is hands down the neatest pillow I have ever owned. It came rolled up like a carpet would be, then when you unrolled it, the pillow was vacuum sealed and about as flat as a pancake. No way, you think this is ever going to work out as a pillow. But once you open the bag, the pillow just magically starts to fluff up. The covering on the pillow is so soft, I couldn't wait to try it out. I have to wake up all night usually to flip the pillow from one side to the other to get the cooler side or to readjust the lumps. But that's all gone with the shredded memory foam pillow. The pillow stays cool so I don't feel too hot and the pillow never went flat. I haven't owned a memory foam pillow before although I have heard of the mattresses. I am going to replace all the pillows in my house with these as they need replacing.  The one I got was a standard size but I plan to buy the queen size because I like a bigger pillow.
