My Thoughts
Everyone knows how much I love flashlights and this one is absolutely my favorite. This is the perfect survival flashlight as far as I am concerned. This has 2 features that are designed for self defense which as a woman who is often alone after dark makes that out even more. I have never had a flashlight that was as bright as this one is so there are no dark corners to be had. With over 8 hours of battery power, this flashlight is designed to last. It is made of aluminum but very sturdy.  It is so handy because it has 5 flashlight modes. One firm push on the green button on the end and the light comes on in full mode, then just a sort of half press lowers the light setting to medium, another tap goes to low, a 3rd tap goes to strobe light, a 4th push puts it on SOS mode. I like that one firm push on the green button turns off the flashlight no matter what mode you are in. I have had other flashlights and you had to go through the whole cycle before you could turn off the light. This is the flashlight I would want in the event of an emergency.

My Thoughts

I like using manual can openers. I always have and always will. I have owned a couple of electric ones in my life but didn't like them because grime and ick seemed to build up on the moving parts and it wouldn't open as well or else the opener wouldn't be tall enough or the can would be too heavy and tip the opener over. For me, its just easier to grab the manual can opener and use it. 3 years ago we had a major storm here and everyone was without power for 2 weeks which is yet another reason I like a manual can opener. You can use them while camping etc.. All that being said, this Kukpo can opener is the best I have ever used. It fit well in my hand with no awkward movement which is very important when you have athritis in your hands. It was easy to turn and to squeeze. You can tell by the feel of it how great the quality is.

My Thoughts
Everyone knows my love of flashlights and lanterns. This camping lantern reminds me of the lanterns we used to have when I was growing up and would go camping, fishing, etc. The best thing was that I don't have to clean wicks or put fuel in this lantern, although I did have to buy batteries. (Takes 3 D batteries) The lantern is lightweight yet not so light as to get blown easily away. With batteries in it, the lantern weighs 1 lb 4 ounces. There are 3 settings of light with the last setting being a flashing beacon for emergencies so you can be found if lost. There is a hook on the bottom so you can hang the lantern from a tree or a pole. I can't wait for it to warm up so we can go camping and try out my new lantern. Although this is perfect for in the house during power outages, It puts out a lot of light without the danger of open flames.
