My Thoughts

My Thoughts

I watch a lot of Dr Oz and all these ingredients have been featured on his show. I was so excited to see Rhodiola Rosea as one of the ingredients. I used to take that years ago and it helped me have so much energy. My Thoughts
This is the coolest scale I have ever owned. It tracks the weight for up to 8 people. You get on the scale, then when you weigh yourself the next time it will display weight gain in red and weight loss in green. For me it is motivating to keep seeing the green appear and I don't have to try to remember what the exact weight was last time to wonder "have I gained or lost any"? if you step on the scale and weigh 175 lbs and then step on it the next day weighing 174 lbs, it will recognize that you are the one stepping on it because you are within 4.4 lbs of the weight before which was 175 lbs. If you are more than 4.4 lbs different than the last time you stepped on the scale, it will show as if you are a new user. There is a way to manually assign yourself to a user number, with some tapping once you are on the green or red screens. I like that it weights up to 440lbs. A lot of scales don't go that high. Thankfully I am not even close to that but I like when products are made with larger people in mind.

My Thoughts

When I first got this dvd I wasn't able to even try it out because during all the snow of February, I had pulled some muscles and no way was I moving those babies until it was healed. Then once I was healed I found my dvd was messed up and would freeze. The company was quick and very nice about replacing my dvd, no questions asked. Now that I have gotten to try out the dvd, I love that it is a thirty minute a day commitment for thirty days but the DVD actually lasts about an hour if you want to try the whole time. Its been since before I hurt got my back hurt in October that I have even exercised so I couldn't do the whole DVD but the DVD is fun and I am starting to build some stamina and am able to do more each time. Its not an easy DVD but it is a unique approach and lots of fun. . I love that the instructions are step by step and easy to follow. On the down side, it didn't come with a bar but I just used an old broom stick I had and cut down to 40 inches but you can buy a dowel at the hardware store if you want.  All in all, its a different type of workout to strengthen your core and get more flexible and lose some weight while having fun.

My Thoughts

My life has been so hectic lately that I don't seem to know if I am coming or going. Get Serious about Health

I dabble with losing weight. I try stuff that helps a bit and for whatever reason I quit doing those things. But the time has come to get serious about losing weight. Went to the doctor this week and my A1C levels are 6.4 which is prediabetes, my triglycerides were 350 (although my other cholesterol levels were optimal, and my blood pressure keeps going up. I must have had a ton of fluid on me since in 2 days I have lost 10 lbs.

Thankfully God has already led me to a bible study group based on the book Made to Crave and I have started making progress on overeating. When I first opened the bag it smelled like anise. I love black licorice so was looking forward to the taste. But it didn't really have a strong licorice taste. It is pleasant tasting with only a slight aftertaste that could be licorice so if you don't like licorice flavor, I don't think this is strong enough to put you off the tea. WEIGHT LOSS

     I did absolutely terrible  in the month of February on my diet and exercise plan. I actually gained back all that I had lost in the month of January and that was a big let down. Part of it stems from not having a car to get to the store. I had to send others to the store for me all month because I had no way there so basically my daughter just blowed our months grocery budget on junk.  Then its been so cold that there was just no way I was walking outside. If I had my car I could get to the park and at least get some exercise. I live on a very big hill and it kills my knees to walk down the hill and goodness knows I am so out of shape, I can't make it back up the hill. I tried doing some exercise routines in the house but I don't know if it was because of my fibro or what but every time I even did 5 minutes of exercise I spent the next 24-36 hours in bed in horrible pain :(. 

     I seriously need a job so I can afford to go to the doctor to see what's going on. I am hoping though now that spring surely is on the way and my car going to be fixed that I can walk. I can walk better than any other exercise, I feel. I have made my shopping list and planned a week's worth of meals already. I am just going to view this past month as a lesson learned and move forward and keep trying.
